We believe that highly functional, easily maintained dies start with sound engineering in the design department.

Die Design
Die Design CAD Modeling

CAD Model of Form Platen

The die building process begins in our design department. Here one of our die designers utilizes the customer’s CAD files or prints to determine the best tool design. Often the preliminary design stage involves an engineering meeting where multiple die designers review the part prints and strip layouts. Our goal is to identify any potential issues with tolerances, difficult form issues, or maintenance issues early in the process. Recommendations may be made to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the production process.

After we are confident that we have achieved the most sound and practical die design possible, the design information is released for die construction. Cad data is sent to our cam area for processing. The cad/cam environment makes it possible for us to accurately track the entire die construction process and duplicate a component from archive data in the event that a problem should occur in the field.
